Mary Kay's Childcare

HOURS:

Monday - Friday: Hours are flexible, the hours are based arounds the NEEDS of childcare.

Advantages

The opportunity to play and learn with other children is something both home daycares and centers offer that nanny care can't. But unlike centers, which tend to group kids by age, home daycares usually have mixed-age groups, which more closely mirrors most families and may help your child learn to feel comfortable around older kids. "I like the fact that there are other children my son can play with and learn from," says Cindy Goral, a BabyCenter user from Palo Alto, California. "Since he's an only child, he really enjoys this social interaction."

More advantages

Finally, most home daycare providers are moms themselves, so you know you're leaving your child with someone familiar with the basics of baby and child care and who probably has a healthy dose of the mothering instinct. Of course, you and your provider may differ on some childrearing issues, but as long as you find someone with whom you share basic care philosophies, the "mom" factor can be a definite advantage.

What You'll Find

You want the best for your child. You want your child to have fun in a stimulating environment while they develop physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. Most of all, you want to know that your child is receiving the kind of quality care you would provide in a safe environment.

It's not just a Childcare, it's a learning experience

-Hi, I would very much like to tell you about my child care.  I am State Licensed and  CPR/First Aid certified, along with 20 years of experience.

I love kids and they love me.  I want my Child Care Home to be like a second home.   I want them to feel comfortable and safe,  like being at home.

-The children are encouraged to develop their mind and motor skills at the appropriate rate for their age.

I supply lunch; two snacks;  naps and planned activities for the kids.  The kids also have a nice, fenced in play yard, which they use if the weather permits.  The children usually go outside after lunch.    The play yard means, exactly that,  play. They do what ever their little hearts want them to do.  The children are under constant adult supervision and the yard is child user friendly. When play time is over outside ,we will come inside for winding down.  Reading, singing to their favorite songs, dancing to music, etc......

Now we have the family room which is geared for watching learning videos.  This room is  basically used for winding down from our outside play.  It's also used for other types of projects, such as; naps, reading, practicing words to songs they are learning, or just being alone.

The Game Room is exactly what its name says, games.  This is the inside play yard.  No fences, but plenty of crayons and books to color and  read, doll houses, and other learning toys to stretch and build their imagination.

Each child gets his/her own personalized cup, wash cloth, nap mat, etc;  (children are encouraged to wash  their hands regularly).    They have their own individual folder with info about them inside.  Yes,  you're right in assuming that each child is taken care of to their own personal needs and not just as a group.

I believe children deserve the best care available. Their needs should always be the first priority. In my child care, I do my best to mix LEARNING with fun, this way children enjoy learning, without  even realizing it's  work. Come view my child care or call for further details.
